The field of Military Medicine has emerged as an academic discipline to address the healthcare needs of military forces. The profession of Military Medicine originated during modern warfare in the 20th century, and due to increasing global trends in war, terrorism, and natural disasters, Military Medicine is undergoing an evolution process.
